How is your wood dried?Round logs are cut into slabs on our mill and stacked in our drying sheds. Sticker stacked and end-sealed, slabs are then air dry for years until the moisture content reaches 10% or equilibrium. Air drying our logs gives us a more natural coloration and the process is more even than a kiln. A properly air-dried log will have minimal cracking and internal tensions providing a piece of lumber that is ready to work with. Dry slabs are then planed flat and sanded to 40g, ready to use in your project.
